Emma Powerful, one of the spokespersons of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), has denied having any links with fake Biafran groups vis a vis The Re-branded Indigenous People of Biafra (TRIPOB), and Renegade Indigenous People of Biafra (RENIPOB). In a fake report published by Vanguard, the phantom groups which claimed to have merged together stated that it was glad to welcome Emma Powerful into its fold.
"TRIBOB gladly and warmly welcomes into its fold the Comrade Emma Powerful-led breakaway faction from the Nnamdi Kanu-led Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), who now goes by the name Renegade Indigenous People of Biafra, or RENIPOB.”
“Following this development, all subsequent TRIPOB/RENIPOB statements shall be jointly signed by Comrade Emma Powerful and the undersigned. Any statements from IPOB using “Emma Powerful” as its signatory are that of an impostor."
However, Emma Powerful who called in Radio Biafra live programme denied any ties with the TRIPOB or RENIPOB. He pledged his loyalty to Nnamdi Kanu and IPOB.
In an earlier development, Dr Dozie Ikedife who the group stated was their Deputy denied having ties with the nefarious fake IPOB groups formed by Muhammadu Buhari and the Movement for the Enslavement of Niger Delta (MEND). The phantom groups, The Re-branded Indigenous People of Biafra, TRIPOB, and Renegade Indigenous People of Biafra, RENIPOB, claiming to be a breakaway faction from the Nnamdi Kanu-led Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOP, while stating their merger nominated Charles Okah, the MEND leader and Dr Dozie Ikedife as their Deputy leader. However, in a swift reaction, Ikedife's group which goes by the name the Customary Government of Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), denied any links with the phantom groups.
