During the colonial era in Nigeria, the British successfully ruled Northern Nigeria through indirect rule system. The success made them want to do same in Biafraland. There were no dictators in Biafraland that they could work with, so they created warrant chiefs. Biafrans were by nature, democratic and republican, and as a result, indirect rule failed with Biafrans.
Ever since that failure, Britain does not appear to have accepted that Biafrans have the right to organize and govern themselves in their own way, as it continued to use Fulani people of Northern Nigeria to try and subdue the Biafrans. It actually succeeded since 1970, following the end of Biafra war. They achieved this by using Fulani people (a nomadic people that migrated into what is known today as Nigeria from Feuta Djellon Mountain, in Senegal), who have been acting as house slaves.
Apart from the Fulani people, some unscrupulous Biafrans have been recruited from time to time, and used to manipulate their own people; to destroy their societal set-up from within. Many of those used were mostly crossbreed Biafrans, born by Biafran and Fulani parents, who – while claiming to be Igbo – receive large payments from the Fulani controlled Nigerian government to work against Biafrans and Biafra. In the end, the result was the plundering of Biafran resources, leaving it wasted and raped.

Today, by seeking to satisfy their selfish interests, many Biafrans have turned monsters to their own people. Now, the effect of their constant betrayals has reached unbearable dimensions. These set of people (many of them Igbo-speaking Biafrans) are described as “stomach-infrastructure Igbo-speaking Biafrans”. They can be found in such groups as Ika Ikenga, Ohanaeze Ndigbo, Billie Human Rights, Igbo Youth Congress, Ndigbo Lagos, and several other such self-serving groups.
Among individuals that have worked against their people, Biafrans, through the instrumentality of such groups, include Joe Irukwu, Rochas Okoroawusa, Jim Nwobodo, Peter Obi, Dozie Ikedife, Willie Obiano, Orji Uzor Kalu, and several others. These individuals have grown very rich at the expense of millions of Biafrans being ravaged by poverty. One interesting thing however, is that these people after serving one-Nigeria as stooges of the Fulani, have often come back disgraced by this same Fulani, whenever they think to assert their independence.
Nnamdi Kanu, leader of Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) and Director of Radio Biafra/Biafra TV, had, from time to time, taken time to warn Biafrans. He used to warn them that punishment for such Biafrans in our age would be terrible. “Any one of them that goes for political jobs in Nigeria will come back disgraced. After being loyal to those “born-to-rule” and at the end of the day, they will be humiliated and down-casted, possibly killed like Aguiyi Ironsi and Chuba Okadigbo".
My position is that things have changed so much in our age, and that such men will suffer double tragedy. Nigeria will disgrace them and Biafra will punish them. Whatever a man sows, that he will reap. The race is still ongoing, and at the end rewards shall be given accordingly.
