The Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) assert that Justice Binta Murtala-Nyako must dismiss counts #1, #2, #4, and #8 on the charges brought against the leader of IPOB, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, and the other three Biafrans. In her ruling on March 1, 2017, Justice Binta Murtala-Nyako dismissed six counts namely #3, #5, #7, #9, #10, and #11 while sustaining five counts which are #1, #2, #4, #6, and #8. As IPOB prepares for a full trial on count #6, we hereby demand that the remaining four counts be dismissed on the grounds of fraud/perjury, false claim/identity, and for conflicts with relevant sections of CAP-C38 and ACJA-2015.

NEW YEAR MESSAGE TO BIAFRANS: 2017 IS A PIVOTAL YEAR TOWARDS BIAFRA NATIONHOOD

On behalf of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), we welcome all Biafrans to the year 2017. The past year (2016) had been a challenging one, but we proved that indeed we are Biafrans and are capable of rising to the occasion. In 2016, we experienced the re-enactment of genocide on Biafrans by Muhammadu Buhari who is a killer by profession and by hobby. Perhaps, Buhari continued from where he stopped in 1968 when he participated in the mass-murder of over two million Biafrans at Owerri.

The leadership of Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) salutes brave Biafrans who despite all odds chased away Retired Major General Muhammadu Buhari from Enugu-Biafraland. We would like to remind all humanity that Muhammadu Buhari committed treason on December 31, 1983, when he overthrew the democratically elected government of President Alhaji Aliyu Usman Shehu Shagari. In addition to his involvement in the assassination of Major General J. T. U. Aguiyi-Ironsi and the mass-murder of over two million Biafrans at Owerri in 1968, Buhari has continually ordered the killing of Biafrans since he was awarded the presidency of Nigeria in 2015.

According to the report, the slaughter was carried out by a joint military and police operation led by Hausa-Fulani jihadists in the Nigerian government and with the imprimatur of 'General' Muhammadu Buhari and the Nigeria's Chief of Army Staff , Lt. There have been several cases of abductions and kidnapping of Biafrans by the agents of Buhari called the Department of State Services (DSS) which started on October 14, 2015 with the kidnapping of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of IPOB. Following the abduction of the IPOB leader, hundreds of Biafrans have been kidnapped by the DSS and other agents of Buhari.
