Dr John Nnia Nwodo, the newly elected president of the Ohaneze Ndi Igbo has declared that he is the father of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB). During a recent interview with Channels Television, Dr Nwodo declared his support for IPOB. Watch extract of the interview below)
He warns that the precursors that led to the first Biafran-Nigeria are rife and it would be a mistake for the Nigerian government to continue to kill unarmed IPOB protesters as that will exacerbate the situation.

He advocated for a true federalism where every part of Nigeria would be allowed to develop at its pace as the only panacea to avert war.
