South-East Senators Met Buhari Because they were Afraid of Internal Revolution Pro-Biafran Groups are Planning - MASSOB
The Movement for the Actualization of the Sovereign State of Biafra MASSOB on Monday said it was its threat to organize an internal revolution against Igbo leaders that forced the senators from the south-east to meet with President Muhammadu Buhari at the presidential Villa, Abuja.

A MASSOB leader, Kingsley Madu, had warned that Pro-Biafra groups would organize an internal revolution against Igbo leaders if Kanu and other detainees spent Christmas in prison.

Source said that senators from the South-East zone, led by Deputy Senate President, Mr. Ike Ekweremadu, recently held a meeting with Buhari at the Presidential Villa, which they discussed issues concerning the Pro-Biafra agitation, including the detention of Nnamdi Kanu and some other secessionist.
It was noted that MASSOB spoke with some newsmen on Monday through its Director of Media and publicity, Mr. Innocent Igbo, said the Senators ‘woke up’ to their responsibility to their people because they were afraid of the threatened internal revolution.

In his words, he said “This sudden political move of Igbo Senators to President Buhari is a welcome development even though Buhari may not easily hearken to their pleas because of his anti-Igbo policies.

“As we acknowledge the Igbo Senators, MASSOB charges Igbo House of Representative members, traditional, religious and opinion leaders to start initiating positive steps towards addressing the menace faced by our people.”
