Nyako's Monumental Fraud Exposed: How Murtala Nyako (Buhari's main moneybags) defrauded Adamawa state funds

Nyako's Monumental Fraud: How Murtala Nyako (Buhari's main moneybags) defrauded Adamawa state funds
Below are unvarnished facts uncovered by our investigative team.
On October 10, 2011 a petition signed by a good and responsible citizen alerted the Government of the criminal enterprise being run by General Murtala Nyako. The detailed petition alleged that since 2007 General Nyako mismanaged and misappropriated over N244 billion belonging to the state of Adamawa. The strategy being deployed by General Nyako included the shameless use of his children to launder money, setting up of the Special Programme and Project Unit (SPPU), the looting of Local Government and unprecedented inflation of contracts. For example General Nyako spent N3.5billion on the construction of the 7 kilometer Shagari Road.

The breath of fraud committed by this General and the brazen nature of it is truly epic.
General Nyako use the name, credit and goodwill of the State of Adamawa to borrow in the name of the good citizens of Adamawa the sum of 5billion and then had the gumption to pay himself the sum of N45million in facilitation fee to himself.

He claimed that he also paid N25million to Almajiris but the truth; the painful truth is that his profligacy knew no boundaries, he pocketed the money for the Almajiris, and yet APC and Buhari complain and shout that there is insurgency caused by unemployment and restless youths, yet there is a military officer stealing from his own “Almajiri Children.”
General Nyako gave N35,209,125.00 to the Speaker of Adamawa to buy a car, General Nyako then gave his Commissioner of Agriculture N19,478,055.00 to travel to South Africa for an International Conference! This is sacrilegious and repugnant and indecent. When President Goodluck Jonathan went after General Nyako, General Buhari rose to his defense and accused President Goodluck of harassing Northern leaders and APC stalwart and accused him of anti-North agenda.
Rather than build school and feed the living and improvised citizens of Adamawa, General Nyako instead, fraudulently disbursed the sum of N60,000,000.00 (Sixty million Naira) as death gratuity for the death of one Mr. Abdullah .
General Nyako fraudulently spent N1 billion on a non-existent water project in the State capital. General Nyako by and through his Permanent Secretary Ministry of Local Government Affairs made PERSONAL withdrawals from the accounts of Adamawa State Local government to the tune of N304,692,185.17 from March 06, 2008 to March 04, 2011. This money was then changed to Dollars by "Mallams" and given to General Nyako between October 9th, 2009 and February, 2011.
Justina Yari, a principal accountant in the Ministry made cash withdrawals of N577,564,655.00 from Adamawa State Local Government Joint account. This money was then changed to Dollars by "Mallams" and given to General Nyako. Between March 5, 2010 and June 8th 2011 Jumai Salihu a common cashier in the Ministry made personal cash withdrawals of N155,258,370.00 and had it changed to Dollars and given to Nyako. Between 16th of February, 2010 and 3rd June 2011 one Ms. Mercy S. Wanje made a cash withdrawal from Adamawa State Local Government Account for the Sum N1,012,264,603.00 and had it changed to Dollars and given to Nyako.
Between February 2nd 2007 and May 2011, Abdulhakim Mohammed a cashier in the Ministry withdrew a total of N2,887,180,261. This money was then changed to Dollars by "Mallams" and given to General Nyako.
Similarly in October 23, 2009, Haruna Hamalai a store officer in the Ministry made cash withdrawals of N69,300,000.00 from the Local Government Joint account. This money was then changed to Dollars by "Mallams" and given to General Nyako which he then shared with his cronies.
Not surprisingly but still shockingly, the Permanent Secretary of Adamawa state Ministry of Local Government affairs made PERSONAL withdrawals from the Local Government Joint account domiciled in First Bank Plc. to the tune of N1,677,539,127.83 between July 25th, 2012 and September, 2012. This withdrawals were done without the approval or knowledge of the Joint Account Allocation Committee.. Again, this money was then changed to Dollars by "Mallams" and given to General Nyako which he then shared with his cronies.
A review of the accounts of Adamawa state Ministry of Local Government showed that the sum of N105,569,000.00 was paid into the personal account of one Hajia Usman Safiya without the approval of the Joint Account Allocation Committee.
Vice Admiral Murtala Nyako the former Executive Governor of Adamawa State is the Chairman of Sebore (Export Processing) Farms Limited while Abdulaziz Murtala Nyako (son); Mahmood Murtala Nyako (son), Muhammad Murtala Nyako (son) and Hajiya Binta Murtala Nyako (wife) were all directors of the company.
On the 15th of August, 2007, Vice Admiral Nyako the used his political position in the state to award contracts to his company Sebore (Export Processing) Farms Limited.
On February 15th, 2010 Vice Admiral awarded and paid the full sum of the contract in the sum of N47,049,445.20 for the Survey and Design of the 22.5km Michika-Moda-Kamale road. Sadly no such road was built.
On November 4, 2010, Vice Admiral Nyako again awarded a Survey and Design contract for the 70km Loko-Dumne-Shellang to Galwan and Associates who collected N81,1147,657.00 and did not perform any work. Again on June 23, 2011, this charade continued. Vice Admiral Murtala Nyako awarded and paid the sum of N75,299,678.85 to P.W. Nigeria for work on the critical sections of Hong Mubi section of the Yola-Mubi road. Again no work was done; the contractor and his master Vice Admiral Nyako shared the money and left the people of Adamawa high and dry.
On September 28, 2011, Vice Admiral Nyako again awarded and paid the sum of N77,361,354.49 for the design and survey of 48km of Song-Zumo road.
Nothing was done instead the money was shared between the contractor and Vice Admiral Nyako.
Mr. Ma'aji Muhammed Iro is the account officer to all Adamawa state Government accounts in Zenith Bank from the inception of Nyako Administration. Mr. Iro frequently withdraw money from the Adamawa state Government accounts running into billions of Naira at the behest of Vice Admiral Nyako, the Secretary to the State Government and the Commissioner of finance. For this criminal service, Mr. Iro was upwards of N5,000,000.00 per withdrawals.
Several Checks close to N30 billion were raised in the name of Permanent Secretary Special Service department from the Department amount No. 101124469 in Zenith Bank and cashed by Mr. Iro and given to the Governor through Accountant Adamu Digil and Cashiers Francisca Koji and Ebzan Johanna.
This made Mr. Iro a very wealthy co-conspirator.
He bought 18 choice properties in Abuja, Yola and Kano. Some examples Mr. Iro has: 1) three Petrol stations in Wudil, Darki and Gadafi University. 2) A block of six flats at Aminudeen Mosque, Kano, 3) Three houses being developed at Mabushi, Abuja, 4) Dantsoho Estate, Yola, 5) Dantsoho Hotel, Yola.
The sum of N698,404,011.62 was withdrawn from the Adamawa State Government Account by Ma'aji Muhammed Iro deposited into the account of Sebore. Farms and Extension Services Limited a company owned and controlled by Vice Admiral Nyako the Executive Governor of Adamawa State.

Vice Admiral Murtala H. Nyako, GCON, CFR, Former Military GOVERNOR OF Niger State (1976-1977), Former Chief of Naval Operation, Flag Officer commanding Naval training command , former Chief of Naval Staff (December 1989), former Deputy Chief of Defence Staff. In 2007 he became the Civilian Governor of Adamawa State. General Nyako is the same age as Buhari; he is Buhari’s comrade-in-arm and a top leader of APC. This background is necessary to highlight the fact that, General Nyako, despite his Military background, stole and pilfered the coffers of the State of Adamawa like a “bloody civilian.” Currently, General Nyako is a fugitive on the run from the law when he realized the federal government led by President Goodluck Jonathan was set to prosecute him.
Do not allow yourselves to be short-changed again by pillaging politicians' empty "change" slogan. You cannot preach change and call yourself Mr. Integrity and then surround yourself with corrupt politicians such as Saraki, Tinubu, Amaechi, and General Nyako.
