Nigeria's Minister for Agriculture and Rural Development, Chief Audu Ogbeh said yesterday, that hunger in the country will last more than expected.

Ogbeh said this when he inspected the Ebonyi State Government Demonstration Farm in Ezillo during operation ‘One man, one hectare’ agricultural programme initiated to boost agriculture in the state.

The Buhari administration on Wednesday, August 31, 2016 said it had revived the e-wallet system for fertiliser allocation and distribution, a year after suspending it. This move is coming as many Nigerians starve to death, and suicide rates soars across Nigeria.

The Minister of Agriculture, Audu Ogbeh, made the announcement after the weekly Federal Executive Council meeting, saying the policy would however be modified to address the challenges that made it unsustainable.
