Declare state of emergency on economy now! Okorocha tackles Buhari

The Imo State governor, Rochas Okorocha, has tackled 'General' Muhammadu Buhari on mishandling Nigerian economy, which he admitted was comatose. He charged Buhari to declare state of emergency on the economy, without further delay.

Okorocha made his position known in an interview with the Leadership newspaper, calling on the Nigerian government to make emergency resuscitation measures.

he also called on all Nigerians to work together in resuscitating the dying economy.

In his words, “There’s nothing wrong with that, in fact, we have to declare a state of economic emergency right now in Nigeria and all hands must be on deck to fix the economy of this country.

“For some of us and I think for all Nigerians who travel out, we know that we need to stand up and avoid sentiment and face the issue.”
